We do what it takes. Each of our board members plays a key role in our organization; thanks to their passion and commitment we are able to raise amazing service dogs as well as help and serve disabled people in our community.

 

Mira Alicki

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Starting the foundation was Mira’s life long dream driven by her love to help animals as well as people with disabilities. Mira owns Mirajewelrydesign.com

Douglas Sanders

VICE PRESIDENT

Retired from a career in aerospace engineering and management with an M.B.A. Doug has always loved working with and training dogs. He is  passionate about improving lives of others.

Margaret Mazur

TREASURER, FINANCE

Margaret is a very successful business owner for over 25 years, she is also a cultural event organizer who specializes in working with Connecticut artists and musicians

Alexandra Nelson

BOARD MEMBER

Alex is a Speech-Language Pathologist currently working with the Autism population. She enjoys helping others live their lives to the fullest and believes that everyone deserves a voice.

Brian Burridge

VETERANS COMMITTEE

Brian is a Municipal Veterans Representative for the town of East Lyme. He is  experienced with the Veterans Administration of CT.

Maureen Ulizio

BOARD MEMBER

Maureen “Mickey” worked as a Nurse Manager, School Nurse, Case Manager and Legal Nurse Consultant. She has been involved in FIMH Foundation for 2 years.

Dagmara Niecikowski

BOARD MEMBER

Psychotherapist / Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Dagmara has worked with families and children with autism for the last 13 years. 

Sylwia Karwowsky

BOARD MEMBER

Sylwia has a MBA degree, Master of Economics and International business. She has experience in finance, management, and human resources.

Kelly Malz

SECRETARY

Kelly has a doctorate in physical therapy, and is current working with individuals that have  neurological and physical disabilities.

Mia Ginter

BOARD MEMBER

Mia is a Senior HR/Payroll Associate for the largest liquor distributor in the State of CT. She has been a volunteer or board member for several Organizations.

Kimberly Arsenault

BOARD MEMBER

Kimberly Arsenault is a bona-fide animal caretaker. She is a certified wildlife rehabilitation specialist. She has trained dogs in the Connecticut area for 25 years.

VOLUNTEER TRAINER

Glenn is a community leader, advocate and Service Dog trainer. Glenn works as Director of Juvenile Facility Programs and Reentry.

Ronald Catania

VETERAN REPRESENTATIVE

Ronald was a member of the U.S Air Force. He is in charge of matching Veterans with Forever In My Heart Foundation’s Service Dogs.

GLENN RODRIGUEZ

Glenn Rodriguez is a community leader, advocate, published author, and service dog trainer. Glenn works at the Center for Community Alternatives, where he serves as Director of Juvenile Facility Programs and Reentry.

KIMBERLY ARSENAULT

Kimberly Arsenault is a bona-fide animal caretaker. She is a certified wildlife rehabilitation specialist, and knows what it takes to care for animals large and small. In 1996, Kim started her own business as a dog groomer, and owns and operates it to this day. She has trained dogs in the Connecticut area for 25 years.
